Brickfilmer's Guild Constitution
ARTICLE I: NAME AND OBJECT
SECTION 1. This body shall be known as The Brickfilmer's Guild ("BFG").
SECTION 2. The purpose of the BFG is to advance the art of brickfilming by promoting people that make brickfilms and the products that help them make the art form. Brickfilms are stop motion animated films that use plastic building bricks such as LEGO or various other compatible brands. Brickfilms can also be CGI animation that is brick built (like the LEGO Movie).
SECTION 3. We will promote brickfilming and brickfilmers by:
(a) maintaining BFG website at brickfilmersguild.com.
(b) writing a regular Brickfilming News and Events blog.
(c) adding new members to BFG Members list.
(d) maintaining Links to brickfilming related websites.
(e) providing a Library with Past BFG Brickfilmer of the Year list, BFG Film Festival winners, and indexed list of brickfilm tutorial videos by BFG members.
(f) hosting an annual brickfilming festival called the Brickfilmer’s Guild Film Festival.
(g) providing Brickfilms of the Month.
(h) providing other various brickfilming related blogs and a podcast.
(i) using social media for sharing brickfilming info and general website promotion (Twitter and Facebook)
(j) encouraging sponsorships and partnerships with brickfilming related entities.
ARTICLE II: MEMBERSHIP ELIGIBILITY
SECTION 1. Guild membership shall be open to any brickfilmer that has brickfilms published on the internet or other means. Member will be subscribed to on Youtube.
SECTION 2. Guild membership is also available for individuals that have participated in a meaningful way to a published brickfilm, such as voice acting, producing, etc.
SECTION 3. Guild membership is available to individuals that have have coordinated brickfilming events such as film festivals.
ARTICLE III: MEMBERSHIP
SECTION 1. Members have no responsibilities to the BFG beyond keeping a brickfilm on the internet or obtain exemption by BFG Guild Claviger (See Article 2 Section 2 and 3).
SECTION 2. Members are eligible to vote on various polls, elections, or honors awarded by democratic process on BFG website.
SECTION 3. Only members of BFG can be nominated for annual Brickfilmer of the Year, Community Member of the Year, enter BFG Film Festival, and have videos selected for Brickfilms of the Month.
SECTION 4. Member’s studio name will be added to the "BFG Members" page on the BFG. Members can request that their website URL, BiM Profile, Brick-à-Brack Profile, Brickfilms Wiki info page, and/or a secondary video platform be added after their studio name. Use the Contact tab on homepage to inform BFG Guild Claviger of your website URL and other links. You can also contact the BFG by posting in the brickfilmers-guild-chat-room on Discord.
SECTION 5. If a member is eligible for any badges as shown on key of the "BFG Members" page, badges will be added. Use the Contact tab on homepage to inform BFG Guild Claviger if any members are missing badges.
