Check out the awards show video above or listen to the podcast on iTunes.  Please note, thefourmonkeys neglected to include the winner of the voice acting category. Remnant Media won that category with LEGO: The Cryptic Epistle - A Mystery Short in 4K.

Best Film of Festival went to Penta for Benny n' Lee in: Parallel Panic.
Penta also won Best Screen Play for Benny n' Lee in: Parallel Panic which was the only brickfilm to win a category with first place vote from every judge.

Best Cinematography was won by Remnant Media for LEGO: The Cryptic Epistle - A Mystery Short in 4K. Remnant Media is now called PEC Studios and also won the category of Best Voice Acting​ for the LEGO: The Cryptic Epistle - A Mystery Short in 4K.
Best Animation went to BreaksBricks for LEGO Arcade Robot Breakdance Battle!
Something's Awry  Productions won Best Sound Effects for the Adventures of Kentucky Jackson.
Best Music Score went to VNanimation for Honk Honk!
Mighty Wanderer won BFG Member's Choice with TobyMac - Lose My Soul Music Video in LEGO.
The brickfilm Trinity by funmiproductions won Best Brickfilm with BFG Logo.
Also announced during the awards show was the winner of the BFG Brickfilmer of the Year.  The winner for 2016 is Brotherhood Workshop, Kevin Ulrich.  Brotherhood Workshop won the BFG Brickfilmer of the Year for 2013 and 2014.

The Honorable Mention winners are as follows:
Best Super Hero - LEGO Moon Knight by Atlas Animationz.
​

Best Foreign Language Film - Endangered by Legostudio01. Endangered was a co-production with A&M Studios Brickfilms.

Best Music Video - TobyMac - Lose My Soul Music Video in LEGO by Mighty Wanderer.

Best Holiday - LEGO Christmas Light Fight by Plastic Planet Productions.

The judges for the main categories were:

Below is a listing of 1st through 27th place.  All other films basically got 28th place as they all got a zero in the overall category which only means they did not finish in the top 10 for any judge.
