Alex Kobbs' brickfilming magnum opus is here. His newly released film Battle of the Brick: Built for Combat involved over 6 years of production to complete and it is completely amazing in every aspect. It is a professionally filmed twenty seven minute long action combat battle between the Red and the Blue Spartans of Halo on the shores of Zanzibar. The set for this film is a stunning recreation of the Zanzibar map from the Halo video game series.
Alex Kobbs is a master of stop motion. His fluid movements of the custom Halo MOC minifigures was brilliant. His minifigures even had heads that could tilt instead of just only turning. Most of the special effects in this film were created with stop motion instead by digital techniques. The explosions and blood effects were very impressive.
The film was premiered first on 11/11/11 on Gametrailers.com and later was released on Kobbs' YouTube Channel.
It is a 27 minute thrill ride. THIS IS A MUST SEE!!!!!!!!! Even if you hate Halo and are not into LEGO films.
