Gizmodo has a bunch of "Best of 2011" lists on their website. One of their lists is "Best Lego Stories of the Year". Fellow BFG member Paganomation earned the 2nd spot for his brickfilm BUILD! which was described as "The Most Hardcore Metal Lego Video I've Ever Seen" and also a "raw, unadulterated, lumberjacking dragon powered stop-motion hardcore metal awesomesauce."
Congratulations for making the list!  The results for THAC 9 are out. And the winner is Smegol with the Amazing Cashman. Second place goes to SuburbAnimationStudios for Black and Blue. Third Place goes to Nick Durron for Green Eye. To see a list of the top twenty click here. Top BFG honors go to MindGame (ZachMG) for Bus Stop. His entry earned him fouth place.
Conan O'Brian must have a thing for brickfilming. For the second time in a month, Conan has had a brickfilmer on his late night talk show on TBS. Last month Grayson MacLean, toy creator and entrepreneur, was on the Conan show, and on December 12th Donald Faison, actor and Lego brickfilmer, described himself as being a "blerd" which he defined as "black nerd". He later went on to disclose that he enjoys making stop motion videos with Star Wars LEGO. Donald's gift to brick filming is his "Black Storm Trooper" series which includes some incredible stop motion using mouth movements much like what is seen on Robot Chicken. Donald was on the show to promote his new television sitcom "the Exes" which we also watch and find very funny and entertaining. He's an all around talented blerd.
