“Bound” the Brickfilm was just recently released online and it’s available for FREE. Check it out on Vimeo HERE. “Bound” is the epic medieval brickfilm by Monitogo Studios. It has a 50 minute runtime, more than 65 unique sets, scores of extras and an original score. The movie, originally a Kick Starter crowd funded project, was released by Monitogo Studios in 2015 on DVD and has had award winning success and world wide interest. “Bound”, a Christian themed brickfilm, has an engaging story and great action scenes that even a secular audience would find enjoyable. Monitogo Studios was gearing up for international distribution in at least 6 different countries and had pre-sales ranging well above the film’s budget when they received bad news from The LEGO Group. In a recent Facebook post, Greg Tull, the director of the film, posted an explanation about why the film was being released on Vimeo for free. In the Facebook post Greg explained that The Lego Group’s legal department sent a cease and desist letter forcing him to stop selling the movie at a profit. He also mentioned that the movie is now “free to the world, free to share. Long live epic brick films!!” The Monitogo Studios website shop still has DVD copies available at a very reduced price of $1.50 + shipping which according to Greg was a way to meet The Lego Group's requirement to not sell the movie at a profit. It can also be viewed on YouTube.
