Kristian Stenslie, the creator and animator at TwistedBricks, has completed his feature length brick film The Void War: Grey Horizons. The brickfilm clocks in at 1 hour and 42 minutes. It is the "result of 2.5 years of work and unwavering persistence," which all began with Kristian's decision "to make the greatest brickfilm of all time." The first half is available for free on YouTube and the commercial-free full film can be viewed by becoming Void War Universe Patreon member or if you were a supporter of the Indigogo campaign for the film. You can pay as little as $2 to watch it, and you can cancel your membership anytime.
Grey Horizons is an incredible 100 minute ride of original sci-fi LEGO stop motion with a touch of claymation. The cinematography is amazing and special effects are polished and effective. The practical lighting for the clay monsters (Boletus Mortiferum or slag) adds glowing creepiness to the creatures. The original music composition by Johan Stenslie helps create a spooky dark atmosphere for this sci-fi horror film. There was also an incredible voice acting ensemble which included brickfilming greats such as Forrest Whaley, Kristian Stenslie, Chris Salaises, Maxime Marion, Jay Silver, Zach Macias, and Nathan Wells.
